This can probably be written off as another friendship fic because I just fail at slash or romance these days. D:

Title: Instant Cooking
Characters/Pairings: Aragaki Shinjiro + Sanada Akihiko

Summary: Shinjiro doesn’t approve of Akihiko’s choice of food.

“You’re not going to eat that crap again, Aki. That shit tastes like cardboard.” Shinjiro gestured towards the instant meal in Akihiko’s hand.

“Why are you so bothered by it? It’s not like you’re going to eat it.” Akihiko muttered as he placed a tea kettle on the stove. He had just gotten back to the dorm and had planned to make dinner and relax for the rest of the night. His ‘friends’ had gotten a hold of him yet again and he was not in the mood to deal with Shinjiro’s crap.

“I don’t care, I have to watch you eat it and it smells awful.”

Shinjiro’s eyes narrowed in demonstration of his disgust.

“Go away if you don’t want to smell it, then!” Akihiko growled.

“No.” came the deadpanned answer.

Akihiko shot a glare at Shinjiro and then rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”

Akihiko proceeded to pull back the top of the Styrofoam cup; at least until it was brusquely snatched out of his grip and tossed into the trash can. Akihiko gaped.

“Shinji!”

“That’s where it belongs.” Shinjiro mumbled as he reached under the counter to make a grab for the wok.

“Shinji…” Akihiko started grinding out.

“Spare me your bitching and relax a bit. I’d rather cook than have you eat that piece of shit you called dinner.” Shinjiro pulled out some vegetables and the necessary ingredients to replace Akihiko’s trashed beef bowl as Akihiko seethed in a nearby chair with an appropriate scowl planted on his face.

After several minutes of tense silence had passed, Shinjiro roughly shoved the bowl into Akihiko’s hands. Akihiko simply stared down at it in offense, contemplating if he should risk ingesting his friend’s cooking.

“Don’t be an ass – try it.” Shinjiro scoffed. He shuffled with the dirty dishes in preparation for washing, while Akihiko cautiously picked up a piece of beef. “Enjoy…bastard.”

Akihiko spared him another glare and placed the food in his mouth. Almost immediately, his eyes widened and made grab for another bite. And another. “Hey…this is really good, Shinji.”

“Exactly. I don’t want to see you eating that crap, again.”
